Win in Multichannel Marketing through Better Search

This was posted on Sunday, August 10th, 2008

Speaker: Abe Mezrich of Didit

From television to viral messaging, media channels are more diverse than ever before. And as consumers learn about your products and services across all media, they increasingly turn to a single channel to learn more about your business. That channel is search. But as channels increase, keeping control of your message—and out of the hands of your competitors, negative buzz, and brand diffusion—also gets harder. This talk will teach marketers to take control of their presence in the engines, and to turn search marketing into a key driver of multichannel success. Designed for everyone from C-levels looking to get more efficient cross-channel spend, to tacticians looking for better search strategies, this session will teach attendees how to:

• Understand how all channels impact searcher behavior

• Keep control of their brands in the search engines

• Use search to truly leverage their viral and social marketing

• Create multichannel-focused landing pages that drive deeper engagement and more conversions

• Be ready for the coming media convergence and much more.

Please join me in welcoming the board members and volunteers of The Philadelphia American Marketing Association for 2008-2009. This year we hope to build on the success of last years programming, which ended on a high note with the Marketer of the Year event, and continue to offer more value to our members. It is our goal to offer 2 events per month as well as increase our sponsorship participation. Additional sponsorship funding will allow us to offer additional member only perks (like free drinks). We would also like to announce a new member meet and greet prior to most of the events. We hope new members will take advantage of this opportunity to meet the speaker, get to know fellow board members, as well as network with other new members.

For the first time in Philadelphia, we would also like to announce the launch of a CMO roundtable. This special event will offer the executive marketing leaders of the Philadelphia area an opportunity to discuss issues in an intimate setting. In addition to adding this unique ongoing event to the calendar, we will also partner with SMEI for an event and start a pharmaceutical Special Interest Group (SIG).

We hope to hear from you about any suggestions you may have for the association.
I am looking forward to a great year and hope to see you at upcoming events!
