The Communications Committee is responsible for all communications to the chapter at large, including the monthly newsletter and email correspondence to the membership. In addition, the Communications Committee oversees public relations for the chapter and production of the membership roster.

Membership

Chair: Myriam Siftar

The Membership Committee is responsible for all aspects of building and retaining chapter membership on the professional and student levels. This includes new membership recruitment, integrating new members into the chapter through orientations, facilitating member involvement at the committee level and implementing membership retention programs. In addition, this committee develops collegiate chapters at local Philadelphia colleges and universities, provides professional mentoring to collegiate members and coordinates the external volunteer efforts of the chapter towards the community.

Programming

Mission

  • To create regular events for the Philadelphia AMA chapter, in which marketing leaders and topics are showcased in an environment that furthers individual marketing expertise and enables members to network with peers

Member Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and track programs as well as interface with other committees to promote and execute events

Hours Per Month

  • 2 - 5 Hours

Meeting Schedule

  • Every six weeks; balance of meetings and conference calls

Publicity

Mission

  • To deliver accurate, informative, and timely AMA information to the chapter-at-large and the media
  • To leverage marketing expertise within the Philadelphia area in general, and the Philadelphia AMA specifically, to the advantage of the media and fellow marketers

Member Responsibilities

  • Produce press releases, media relations
  • Identify and coordinate local expertise and disseminate as needed.

  • 2 - 5 Hours

Philadelphia AMA Marketer of the Year

Chair: Open

Mission

  • To strengthen the PAMA position within the industry as a leading resource for professionals and community initiatives through event-related initiatives.

Member Responsibilities

Members are responsible for planning, promoting, executing three major category of events:

  • PAMA presence at select expos and conferences
  • Marketer of the Year
  • Other special events that generate memberships, build the brand, promote networking and establish authority

Hours Per Month

  • 1 - 5 Hours

Meeting Schedule

  • Every six weeks via conference call, meetings are random and are based upon need.

External Relations

Chair: Traci Browne

Mission

  • To improve the fiscal health of the Philadelphia AMA chapter and create greater opportunities for high-quality, strategic programming so the Philadelphia AMA chapter may achieve its goals at both the local and national level

Member Responsibilities

  • To develop rewarding relationships with members and key prospects, attract targeted sponsors and develop sponsorship packages that align with other respective committees to ensure we successfully sell and fulfill sponsorships opportunities

Technology

Chair: Josh Miller

Mission

  • To maintain PAMA's technical face to the world: the website, email campaigns, and technological needs for meetings and events.

Member Responsibilities

  • Update the web site, maintain an accurate membership list, coordinate email campaigns with other committees, help research new technologies and equipment that could enhance the PAMA web site and events.

Hours Per Month

  • 3 - 6 Hours

  • Approx. 1/month (may be augmented with additional phone conferences as needed)
