PAMA SPECIAL EVENT: Spring Into Action with a Philly Speed Networking Event!

REGISTER NOW - Click HERE!

It is time to shed the economic blues and Spring into Action!

Make your connections in true Philly fashion at the PAMA Speed Networking Event.  Do you find traditional networking events unproductive?  Do you tend to gravitate to the same group of people every time you attend an event?  You will have the opportunity to interact with many individuals that you may have never otherwise had the chance to network with.

We’ll kick off the event with a splash of reality of how this economic twister has hit home for our fellow Philadelphians.

Phil Hopkins

Philip R. Hopkins, AICP, Vice President of Research for Select Greater Philadelphia will compare and contrast the recent performance of the Greater Philadelphia economy to the performance of the U.S. economy.  He will cover historic trends so we understand our existing variable benchmarks. Philip will then take us to current day to better understand today’s economic conditions - and discuss the extent to which the region’s economy is being affected differently than the U.S. economy during this recession, noting different recent trends in housing prices, employment growth, unemployment rate and of course, the projections for the future, sharing some observations for the region’s economic competitiveness once the recession ends.

The kick-off discussion will lead you nicely into our high-energy, intense networking forum!

HOW IT WORKS

The President of the Philly AMA, Dawn Pelon, will oversee this fast-paced program.  Individuals attending the event will represent different marketing segments or marketing service providers in the Philadelphia region.  You will have multiple face-to-face networking sessions during the event, each one lasting 4-5 minutes.  You may not meet with every person, depending on attendance.
During each session, you will share information about yourself and your business, look for synergies, offer contacts, provide ideas, and exchange business cards.  Do you know someone that this person should talk to?  Do they know someone that would be a great business contact for you?
When the session time is up, a bell will ring and one person will move to the next chair to meet with that individual.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO

  • Bring plenty of business cards!
  • Know your business
  • Be able to describe what you do in a concise sentence or two
  • Know what you want and need from networking and what you have to offer.

NOTE: Due to the format of this event, participants who arrive after 6:00 will be fit in as it is possible. You may not meet with every person, it depends on attendance numbers how many meetings you will have.

Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be provided

Web 2.0 strategies and the increased adoption of social media tools such as blogs, wikis, social networks and user-generated video greatly increases the information access of consumers and interaction among peer groups. The growth of social media is unavoidable, even in healthcare, yet the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries are slow to adopt social media tactics into their marketing strategies.

Why is this?!  Industry leaders are continually assessing their capabilities, mining new ideas for optimizing these new viral channels and establishing their own set of “regulations” and processes.

Is this the right approach?  Is social media a viable channel for pharmaceutical and biotechnology marketers or is this a litigator’s dream?

Come explore the merits and challenges of Web 2.0 strategies and hear what our panel of industry experts are saying about the new world of consumer empowerment and how these channels can be successfully leveraged within effective marketing programs.
