Effective brand communication requires strategic thinking and a laser focus on your audience. This session will address how to set clear communication objectives to engage your target customer using traditional and social media. The session will cover how to identify the best form of media to tell your brand story to your target audience. In addition, the application of the next generation of “new media” to all brands brands will be highlighted.
Attendees will learn:
• Why some campaigns get the buzz and others fall flat
• How some companies effectively use PR while others can’t get coverage
• When is direct marketing more effective than mass marketing
• How you can get big exposure for your brand even with a small budget
• How to comfortably invite customers to participate in your brand communications
• Which of the new media is right for your brand
• What “new media” is and how your brand can leverage it
The session is appropriate for marketers of consumer, business-to-business, and non-profit brands that are in all stages of development from start-up to maturity.
Instructor: Kim Richmond, Saint Joseph's University, Adjunct Professor
Kim Richmond is an adjunct professor in the Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph's University. An executive, author, speaker and professor in the marketing arena, Kim has more than 25 years of marketing and branding experience. She has held senior marketing positions at several major companies including FAO Schwarz, Kraft Foods, Sears, Zany Brainy, The Right Start and Charming Shoppes.
