You've got the product, price and promotion. Yet, you may not understood how place (channels, distribution, and logistics) brings it all together? Whether you compete locally or globally, it's virtually unfathomable to develop and maintain a competitive advantage without a solid grasp of the 4th P. Whether you're in sales, planning, customer service, or channel management, this session will help you understand how the 4th P can help your company sustain its vitality in the marketplace.
Attendees will learn:
- How the value proposition and bottom line are impacted by distribution-related factors
- How being “market-driven” versus “driving markets” can be linked directly to how well firms conceptualize channels, sourcing, and logistics within different market structures
- Key concepts related to value chains, intermediation, contractual efficiency, leverage, and e-commerce
The session will conclude with a dialogue on how channel strategy can influence the overall marketing mix and marketing strategy.
