AMA Brings the Spotlight Back to the Philadelphia Region with the 2013 Marketer of the Year Awards
Philadelphia, PA – June 5, 2013 – The Philadelphia Chapter of the American Marketing Association (PAMA) celebrated 81 years of thought leadership and service in the PennJerDel region by hosting the 2013 Marketer of the Year Awards at the Valley Forge Casino Resort on May 20, 2013. Honored winners in categories spanning from technology to hospitality were judged based on 4 main criteria: transactions, sales, encounters and search engine rankings. The awards recognize measurable contributions to the business using all marketing channels and favor RIO and impact over creativity or trendy concepts.
“Sometimes subtle, other times dramatic – but always measureable – our work makes and moves markets. Our nominees excel at understanding and surmounting challenges, devising and delivering insightful action plans, and generating results that are measured at the bottom line of a balance sheet,” said President of the Philadelphia Chapter, Matt Roberts.
Steven Singer Jewelers’ LeeAnn Kindness, Director of Marketing, Philadelphia, PA, worked with Trellist Marketing and Technology, of Wilmington, DE, to win the Business to Consumer Award by increasing ecommerce transactions by 52% over the previous year with an ROI for the marketing program of 1028%.
Annodyne, of Blue Bell, PA, won the Marketer of the Year in Hospitality for their work with the Ann Arbor Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. Three Campaigns “Foodie,” “Arts Getaway” and “Doing Winter Differently” were delivered through direct and digital marketing.
FVM Strategic Communications, of Plymouth Meeting, PA, took home two Marketer of the Year Awards in Technology and Education. In the technology category, they built a campaign around CommVault's ringing of the opening bell at NASDAQ and created an on-demand virtual event to support the mid-release launch of Simpana software generating over 4,200 total registrations.
FulcrumTech, LLC of Doylestown, PA also brought home 2 awards, one in the Pharmaceutical category and a second in the Overall Business–to Business category for the email campaign work done for a single client. Wolters Kluwer Health called on FulcrumTech LLC to improve the sales results during the 2012 holiday season for publisher Lippincott Williams & Wilkins.
